1. What is a Group Event?

Group Events are used to schedule activities for a Group. These are commonly things like group workouts, team meetings, happy hours, etc. Group members can RSVP to these Events, allowing the Event Coordinator to track who will be attending.

2. How do I create a new Group Event?

Browse to the Upcoming Events tab for a Group and click the Add a Group Event link.

3. Who can create a Group Event?

Group Administrators can create Group Events. They can also set up the Group to allow any Group member to create an event. Look for the Group Events setting on the Group Info tab to see how these permissions are set up for a specific Group.

4. What are Event Coordinators?

Event Coordinators can edit Event settings and manage Event attendees. The user that created the Event is automatically set up as an Event Coordinator. They can add additional Group members as Coordinators. There must always be at least one Coordinator for every Event.

5.What is the Event Location?

The Event Location is where the Event is taking place. There are two parts to the location, Location Name and Location Address. The Location Name is a name that identifies the location, like 'Doug's House' or 'Bike Path Mile 3.' The Location Address is the postal address of the location that is used to display the location on the map.

An Event Location can be set to private so that only Group members can view this Location information.

6. How do I RSVP to an Event?

Only Group members can RSVP to a Group's Events. If you are not a member, you will need to join that Group first. To RSVP to an Event, look for the RSVP Now link at the top of the Group Event pages.

7. How does the Event Fee work?

The Event Fee is just an informational field to let participants know if there is a cost associated with an Event. EnduranceJunkies.com is not responsible for Event Fees or processing these transactions.

8. What are Event Interests?

The Interests assigned to an Event are the same as the Interests users assign to themselves, such as Running, Swimming, Triathlon, etc. Assigning Interests to an Event will make the purpose of the Event more clear and will help users find it when searching for things that match their Interests.

9. How do I cancel an Event?

To cancel or reactivate an Event, look for the Cancel this Event or Reactivate this Event links on the Group Event Info tab.
